Beer Garden and Snowboard Shop?!?!
Growing up, one of my favorite places to hang out was the local snowboard/skate shop. You’d drop by after school and talk about new gear or hear rumors about how awesome the new snowboard/skateboard video was that just released. Aspect Boards & Brews is the perfect excuse to start hanging out again at a snowboard shop and talk about the glory days or how epic the day was on the mountain. On the inside they have a snowboard shop with a great selection of gear but on the outside, that’s where a chill kick-back beer garden sits serving the best in local beers like Boneyard, Good Life, and Crux. Besides the many local brews on draft they also have Montucky in cans! What goes better with a beer than an interesting conversation? Elliot and Tanner are the two guys there manning the helm that fit the bill to a tee. Elliot grew up in Houston and fell in love with skateboarding.
One day, a few of his friends invited him out to Steamboat Springs, CO to hang out. After that first trip he was hooked on the West and after landing a job, he immediately left the big city and headed for the mountains of Colorado… the rest is history. Tanner, on the other hand, comes from the West and is the epitome of a powder hound. After going to school in Montana and then living in Alaska, he ended up in Bend as he continues his quest for epic pow days. These guys have great stories to tell and are great listeners for yours. Aspect is a great way to end a perfect Spring skiing day.
Shred Town & Never Summer
Talking a little shop we come to find out that they are the only Never Summer distributor in the region. People plan their trips to visit Bend to buy their deck there. It was nice to hear that business was good. After a few hours had past, we began to get hungry. Fortunately, Aspect is situated close to some food trucks. We picked Shred Town. This place has really amazing food and affordable too. The pineapple carnitas sandwich was amazing. Normally, I’m not a big fan of pineapple on a sandwich, but it made sense with the pork. The sweet combined with the saltiness of the meat worked.
