What: The Dan Bean Giant Slalom is one of the Waterville Valley USSA Alpine Races held annually.
Details: This Giant Slalom event at Waterville Valley Ski Resort is dedicated to Dan Bean. He was an Alpine select team coach for the U.S. Ski Team who passed away from a car accident on an icy mountain highway traveling between Winter Park and Crested Butte. He did a lot for the U.S. Ski Team and this event is dedicated to all the hard work and sacrifice he put in.
