Ashland Spring Thaw 2018

In its 27th year the Ashland Spring Thaw 2018 edition is one of the longest running mountain bike festivals in Oregon. After such a momentous winter this mountain bike race is the perfect way to get ready for the upcoming summer. This event features a Cross Country Race on Saturday that utilizes some of the finest single tracks in Southern Oregon with over 4,000 feet of climbing and descending for the elite and expert riders. The event starts on Saturday with–conditions permitting –the 2060 XC loop and the Kid’s Race. It continues on Sunday with a Downhill race starting up at 4 Corners.

Saturday – May 20th

8:00 am: Late Registration & Packet Pickup Opens at the Reservoir
9:30 am: Registration/Packet Pickup Closes
10:00 am: Racer Meeting
10:10 am: XC Short Course Race Starts for all Novice Cat 3 & Beginner
10:15 am: XC Long Course Race Starts for All Elite/Expert(Cat 1)/Singlespeed
10:20 am: XC Long Course Race Starts for All Sport(Cat 2)
10:30 am: Registration & Packet Pickup starts again for DH
11:30 am- 1pm: Lunch is served
12:00 pm: Enduro registration closes.
1:00 pm:Youth Race Starts for kids 10 & under (helmets are mandatory)
2:30 pm: Cross Country Awards Ceremony and Prize Raffle start
1:30pm to 5:00pm: Shuttle will meet at the quarry for enduro  riders to practice for Sunday’s race. $10 per shuttle.

Sunday – May 21st

8:00am: Packet Pickup Opens at the Reservoir
9:15am: First Shuttle Leaves from the quarry above Lithia park
9:30am: Packet Pickup Closes
11:00am:  Enduro riders start in this order:

1. Juniors
2. Beginners
3. Sports Men
4. Sports Women
5. Expert Men
6. Expert Women
7. Pro Women
8. Pro Men

12:30 am:  2:00pm: Lunch is served
3:30 pm: Enduro awards and Prize Raffle start
4:00 pm: Crowning of All Mountain King & Queen
