Event Overview

This year’s event is aimed at merging knowledge of the forecast and conditions with your personal choices. The main speaker is Nate Furman from the University of Utah. Nate, an AMGA-certified Rock Guide and Assistant Alpine Guide, will lead us in a discussion of leadership, risk, and consequences titled: “Heuristics Aren’t a Dirty Word: Adding Color and Context to a Misunderstood Concept.” Nate’s talk is sponsored by the American Avalanche Association.

Schedule:

  • 5-6 pm Social hour – Visit with vendors, sign up for an avalanche class, buy raffle tickets, light snacks provided.
  • 6-9 pm – Speakers and Discussion (Raffle prize giveaways throughout!)
