Four Corners Snow and Avalanche Workshop (4SAW) Overview
4SAW is an annual gathering for avalanche practitioners, mountain professionals and winter backcountry users held in the Southern Rocky Mountains & Southwestern United States. 4SAW includes a full line-up of speakers, workshops, clinics, exhibitors & activities focused on snow, avalanches, backcountry rescue & winter recreation.
4SAW 2022 coincides with the 60th Anniversary of Silverton Avalanche School. As the oldest, continuously operating avalanche education program in the United States, we are stoked to have you help us celebrate six decades of excellence here in Silverton this fall!
Workshop Details
The mighty peaks, lofty summits, backcountry bowls and high basins of the Southern Rocky Mountains, annually replenished by the snows and slides of winter, are the water towers from which all life flows. 4SAW 2022 will encourage participants to share, explore and reflect upon the critical role our local mountains play in shaping the health and future of alpine environments and watersheds in the Southwestern US.
