While the industry has a seen a decline the sheep continue to be part of the woven fabric of the Wood River Valley. To celebrate this tradition the Trailing of the Sheep began in 2019. On average, the festival draws in 26,000 visitors a year and has been touted as one of the best fall festivals in the world. This is a MUST for all seeking a unique experience.
