Wyoming Snow and Avalanche Workshop 2022
October 21, 2022 - October 22, 2022
Teton County Search and Rescue Foundation, in partnership with the Bridger Teton Avalanche Center, is proud to present the 8th Annual Wyoming Snow and Avalanche Workshop on October 21-22, 2022. The two-day symposium will be held at the Center for the Arts in downtown Jackson, as well as virtually.
Get tuned up for winter
Snow enthusiasts from all backgrounds (ski, snowboard, Nordic, snowmobile) are encouraged to come celebrate winter by joining the discussion on what it takes to stay safe in the backcountry. Snowpack analysis past and present, human behavior and decision-making, risk vs. reward, and other topics are all on tap for this year’s WYSAW.
Event Schedule
The schedule includes an afternoon Pro Session on October 21. Though anyone can attend, the speakers will tailor their presentations to on-snow professionals. Saturday, October 22, will be an all-day General Session. It will include a variety of speakers touching on leading topics in the snow and avalanche world. The General Session is intended for anyone who enjoys getting on snow in the winter, from people who are just getting into winter backcountry activities to seasoned professionals and experts.
Saturday also features a live vendor fair with 20-plus brands and businesses, food and beverages from local providers, and a huge raffle in support of Teton County Search & Rescue. It is always a good time to reconnect and dust off the summer dirt as we prepare for a safe winter ahead.
