In this day and age, there are a lot of ski resorts focused in the wrong direction. They seem less worried about the soul of sliding down a mountain and more about profit for their shareholders. Our friends at Snowlife exposed Alyeska shortening their season on both sides just to increase revenue. But, we’re not focusing on the negative this “love” season. Instead, we thought why not write a Valentine’s Day card to a ski area that’s doing it right.
Valentine’s Day Card to Sierra-at-Tahoe
Ever since I first saw you standing there on the south side of Lake Tahoe, I was blown away by your beauty. Steep glades filled with pillowy fall-line terrain, you’re unlike anywhere else I’d ever been to.
Perfectly sculpted terrain parks along with one of the few half-pipes left in the basin, only one word can describe you: WOW! Your physical attributes may have first attracted me to you, but it was you showing how big a heart you have that made me fall in love.
What made me fall in love with Sierra-at-Tahoe
What is this I hear about FREE skiing to passholders at neighboring resorts that aren’t having as good a winter as you? I’m overjoyed that you could do such a thing! If that heart-warming gesture wasn’t enough, seeing your “children of the snow” become Olympians filled me up with pride. Their attitudes and electric personalities showcase just how great a place it is to call South Lake Tahoe home. But, no matter how stressful the world is today, you still make sure to show it’s ALWAYS about the fun. So Unserious, you guarantee the highest standards of fun and the unexpected. From locally sourced, non-GMO organic snow to velvet corduroy laid by groomicorns and buttery smooth park jibs built by your park gnomes, there’s something for all of us to smile about! Thanks for being you!
