No matter how you measure it, the Lake Tahoe 2018/19 season will be one for the record books. Massive storms pummeled the Sierra Nevada & deposited a deep snowpack that will last until early summer. Sure… both Mammoth Mountain & Squaw Valley plan on staying open through the July 4th holiday, but Heavenly Mountain on the south shore typically closes by the end of April. Well, it’s just been announced that Heavenly is staying open through Memorial Day Weekend!
Heavenly Open Through Memorial Day Weekend
Heavenly Mountain Resort is extending its winter ski & snowboard season – yet again! They’re adding three additional weekends of spring skiing with a new closing date of May 27, 2019. So make sure your gear is tuned for spring skiing, grab some BAF wax, and catch the spring session.
What’s open?

The BIG question is what will be running for these three additional weekends. Based on other seasons extended into early May, they’ll run the Gondola, Tamarack, and Big Dipper. While it’s not the best terrain on the mountain, you can at least get out there & enjoy some skiing into May!
