While Vail Resorts is shutting down all Lake Tahoe resorts this coming weekend, other places around the majestic blue waters are taking a stand for skiers & snowboarders who still want to ride the record setting snowfall. Mt. Rose is committed to keep things rolling and is offering some screaming deals too! So, throw some spring wax on your base, put on some sunblock and grab your gear. Mt Rose late season is just getting started!
761 reasons to visit Mt. Rose in May
While other Lake Tahoe resorts got a TON of rain this season, Mt. Rose was able to take advantage of having the highest base in the Tahoe basin at 8,260’ and receiving nearly all snow. They recorded a WHOPPING 761 inches of snow (the most in their history) and still counting. This season has already shattered the old record of 600 inches from the 1994-95 season. Heck, Mount Rose has only recorded 500 or more inches five times in its entire history! To commemorate such a monumental winter, they’re staying open through Memorial Day AND throwing in some epic deals.
