Leave it to Mount Bohemia to think bigger and better than their Midwest location. Sure, the ski resort rides and skis like a mountain you’d find out West but now they’ve coupled it with a one-of-a kind experience: catskiing in the Midwest!

Cat Skiing In The Midwest?

When the original property was bought in the 80’s they knew what they had but didn’t have the money. Instead of spending millions on infrastructure and waiting years to expand why not give the people what they want: access to new terrain! As the Keeweenaw Peninsula is already home to the powder Mecca of Mt. Bohemia it was a no brainer to give people access to this area by bringing the idea of Midwest cat skiing to the UP.

How Big Is It

Voodoo Mountain is in its 4th season is offering over 200 acres across two peaks, with a vertical drop of 700′. With an anticipated expansion, the terrain will stretch 2.5 miles wide, covering over 1,400 skiable acres across four peaks. From each of these peaks, you’ll be treated to splendid views of Lake Superior, the largest of the Great Lakes. Combined with Mt Bohemia it will provide over 2000 acres making it the SECOND BIGGEST east of the Rockies

The Details

If all that wasn’t enough, the cost for a day of Midwest cat skiing is equivalent to one lift ticket at Vail or Breckenridge ski resort AND you don’t need to hop a flight if you live in the Midwest.
