What: The Tom Sims Retro Worlds
Details: The year was 1983. A time when snowboarders were only allowed in a handful ski resorts, they despised “the Man”, and dug their own half-pipes. It was also the year that the World Championships began at Soda Springs. Fast forward to 2017 and this event has transformed from what it was back then to an extravaganza to celebrate the life, legacy, and vision of Tom Sims. It’s also the year we get to celebrate 40 years of SIMS Snowboards!
This event has three different divisions. The first one is the Legends division and it isn’t what you think. Instead of O.G. snowboarders it’s an opportunity for anyone to compete on a snowboard that is from 1989 or older. The Open event is for any snowboard that is 1990 or newer. And last but not least the Juniors division is for all the Boys and Girl that are 15 years old or younger.
The prices below include a 3-day lift ticket to Boreal (good for the 24th, 25th and 26th), a competition bib and an event t-shirt.
