In the Tahoe Basin and around the country, the snow has started to fly and the stoke is high!

Snow enthusiasts have been super gripped by the talks of a “Monster El Niño” and early season snow only adds fuel to the fire. Could this be the season of all seasons…could it be one of the legendary seasons of old when it used to snow in Tahoe? Well, we aren’t making any predictions but we are doing our part by snow dancing and praying to the snow Gods that the predictions come true. Regardless of how much snow we get some snow is better than no snow. Since this is the case, we have “some snow!” The only thing we need now is a place to ride. It turns out you are in luck! We have put together a complete list of openings in our area, as well as a few other locations throughout North America. With 7 local resorts around the lake to choose from there are plenty options. Dust off the gear, do some calisthenics and get out there. We will see you on the slopes!

These dates are current as of today.  Check resort websites for changes and updates.  Although the energy is high and everyone is super amped to kick off the winter, it is early season.  Leave your new board or skis on the rack because you don’t want to take a dinger the first day out.  Also, be courteous to fellow riders and skiers.  These resorts are open, but terrain is limited.  Take is slow and easy and keep your eyes peeled to avoid and early season accident that could affect they whole year.

As always, have fun!  Enjoy what Mother Nature has given us and get ready for a great Winter!  We will be out at Heavenly opening weekend, so if you see us be sure to grab a sticker.  If our paths don’t cross submit your opening weekend photos here.  We will get the best pics up on the Local Freshies Instagram!
