Teton Surf Classic 2026
The Teton Surf Classic is snowboarding at its most playful and pure. Hosted at Grand Targhee, this annual event blends surf style with snowboard culture, turning the terrain park into a snowy wave machine built for flow, creativity, and good times. It is less about chasing podiums and more about celebrating how snowboarding is meant to feel. Riders of all ages and styles show up for the same reason: to surf the mountain, connect with the community, and have a blast doing it.
Turn, pump, glide, slash and ride
Similar to Bachelor’s infamous Gerry Lopez Big Wave Challenge the focus is on how well you truly “ride” the mountain. A surf-inspired course in the North Pole Terrain Park where riders are judged on overall impression, including turns, speed, flow, creativity, slashes, and style in the air. There is live energy all day with music, raffles, and prizes, plus proceeds supporting the Grand Targhee Ski and Snowboard Foundation. Whether you’re dropping in or cheering from the sidelines, the Teton Surf Classic is equal parts competition and celebration, and easily one of the most unique events of the winter at Targhee.
