Ever wondered how you’d stack up against some of the biggest pros out there? Sure, you can try to qualify for the Legendary Banked Slalom at Mt. Baker, but unless you win the lottery or are a winner at another Banked Slalom, there’s a slim chance you’ll get that opportunity. Don’t worry. That’s where the Zig Zag Banked Slalom comes in!

What’s the Zig Zag?

Leave it to Baldface Lodge, which has become the capital of snowboarding culture, to give you a chance to compete against the pros. From March 20th through March 23rd, top pros head north to this “Church” of snowboarding and lay down times on the freshly made banked slalom, nestled deep in the wilderness of the famed Powder Highway. From reigning champ Ben Ferguson to Curtis Ciszek, Bryan Fox, Danny Davis, Austen Smith, and a bunch of other pros, the list goes on.

How can I compete against the pros?

Book a trip to Baldface Lodge from March 31st through April 2nd. Guests will enjoy full days’ worth of adventuring in the 35,000 acres surrounding the lodge. At the end of each long, hard day of riding (and warming up all your skills), you’ll get to lap the slalom course and take a shot at a truck-load of prizes!

What if I can’t make it for the whole trip?

For those that have a tight work schedule or the price is too steep, don’t worry – Baldface welcomes everyone! For $300, you can book a single-day trip anytime between March 31st and April 5th. This includes a morning of cat-boarding, a barbecue lunch, and an afternoon on the course, racing for prizes.

What kind of prizes can I win?

Also, Baldface Lodge’s partners are throwing in the following for folks to win as well:

  • D’Angelico guitars
  • Capita snowboards
  • Electric goggles
  • Vans footwear
  • Libtech snowboards
  • Sandbox helmets
  • Celtek gloves
  • Traeger Grills

OK, I’m interested but how do I know it’s worth it?

What if you just can’t make it?

Alrighty. British Colombia might not be around the corner from most of us or life is just crazy busy and we can’t make it. Even if getting to Baldface is off the table, if you happen to be in or around town, you can still meet the pros at the Tribute Boardshop in Nelson, BC on March 23rd, from 3-5 pm. Sounds like a cool Thursday afternoon to us!
