It used to be that you could learn how to express yourself through art in school. With the budget cuts from Federal and State Governments a lot of these programs are phased out. Many are replaced in favor of STEM education. This is good and well, but there’s still a segment of the population that needs a different system of education. They learn and communicate through artistic expression.
Then there are those who are versed in their creative style. Those who have experience and are looking to share to continue developing their own personal style while inspiring others. They want to exercise their form of expression, while creating a sustainable environment for others to flourish.
Where can they go? How can they learn? Who can teach them how to master their craft?
What is the High Vibe Society Artisan Collective?
This is where the High Vibe Society Artisan Collective comes in. Its a local organization that recognizes the need to assist in this area. They are creating a place for local artists in the Tahoe basin to meet, create and learn. The intent is to provide workshops that expand into many different genres. It’s also to fulfill South Lake Tahoe’s need for a positive space for the young people to not only express themselves, but inspire others.
Be a part of it.
As you know creating something that will make a lasting impact will take lots of support. To make this happen, High Vibe Society is reaching out to the community to give them an opportunity to make a positive contribution to local young people. Don’t worry, they’ve made it easy! Fortunately, there are a couple of different options for you to help make this a reality.
Come to the event
This Wednesday, June 1st at MoonHouse Brewhouse, High Vibe Society will be holding a fundraising event. Funds raised will help make their first promotional video to be used in a nationwide campaign to bring awareness to the organization. Not only will the event be held at one of the coolest new spots in South Lake, but there is also free beer to wash down the tapas MoonHouse will be selling. If beer isn’t for you, no worries. They have one of the best coffee selections in the area. So, instead of buying beer head on out, grab a free one and contribute your beer money to something bigger. They need to make over $2,500 so let’s get there and help! Check out the event calendar here.

Fundraising Campaign
Lastly, there will also be a raffle at the event. The Grand Prize is for 6 FREE MONTHS of membership (valued at approx. $1000). The raffle will begin at this event and tickets may be purchased until the close of their online fundraising campaign. The cost is $3 a ticket.
These types of collectives are really great for communities. There are others all over the country and it’s going to be amazing to finally have one in Tahoe!
