Just when you thought this fall’s lineup of independent ski & snowboard movie premieres was a little light, out of nowhere a flood of ski movie tours have released their schedules. From Faction Skis to Travis Rice’s newest flick, the tour front has exploded! But, we know how painful it is for you to try and find them all, so we keep on adding them to our event calendar. And don’t forget to check out our first installment of Ski Movies being released this fall as well.

Depth Perception – Quick Silver

“Thank you” Travis Rice and Brainfarm Productions for raising the bar on snowboard film production. Before That’s It That’s All, it seemed like the only goal of a video was to showcase riding thirty minutes straight without telling you anything about the person. Travis then combined cinematography, storytelling, and off the hook riding to make a film like no other before it. And for 2017, Travis is back with his sponsor Quicksilver to bring you: Depth Perception. From what we’ve heard, this film goes back to the roots. I don’t know about you, but I’m incredibly excited to see his latest installment.

This is Home

Known as “nomads”, some skiers follow the snow wherever it falls, only returning home because they must. In their first film endeavor, the Faction Collective returns to their homes all around the world, taking them back to their old stomping grounds. From new challenges, secret spots and their favorite lines, they chronicle what is now the new norm for freeskiers. It’s up to them to make the best of the conditions available. It teaches us that the search for the perfect ride starts in our own backyard.
