Trew to You – Ski Movie Premiere – Lake Placid
Trew scoured hundreds of applications + selected 7 teams to create a 3-5 min film showcasing their personality, their perspectives, their local stomping grounds, and what it means to them to “Stay TREW”…and they put up $15,000 as a grand prize. Now, with Fall ’25 upon us, each individual teams’ 3–5 minute edit has been combined into a longer-form film and they’re getting stoked to take this show on the road with screenings in each teams’ respective hometowns.
Their sixth of 7 tour stops will be with the Pirates of the Carabiner. If you’re in the area, RSVP and grab your ticket before they sell out…
PIRATES OF THE CARABINER
Lake Placid, NY
East Coast Adirondack based team, Pirates of the Carabiner, will capture the evolution of skiing in their home mountains in New York. From their predecessors on wire bindings to present day, Ski The East athletes Adrian Hayden and Will Miemis are inspired by competitive freesking and niche ski movie culture. Their film will highlight local legends of the sport and skiing from the current generation in some of the gnarliest most consequential terrain in the east.
