2025 Ski Movie Premieres

Teton Gravity Research – Pressure Drop

For 30 years, Teton Gravity Research has set the standard for jaw-dropping ski and snowboard filmmaking. This fall, they’re pushing the limits once again. When the pressure builds, legends drop in. Introducing Pressure Drop — TGR’s 30th annual ski and snowboard film. From the peaks of Norway to the steeps of Jackson Hole, Pressure Drop follows the world’s best skiers and snowboarders as they chase deep powder, launch off massive cliffs, and carve iconic lines. Born from a dream and forged on the edge, this film is more than a milestone — it’s a tribute to that fleeting moment when your breath slows, gravity takes hold, and everything else fades away.

Girl Winter

GIRL WINTER is a collection of femme-forward and gender-nonconforming films. The tour aims to shift the narrative of ski & snowboard films seen on the big screen each fall and include new voices in the stories we consume. Back for its second year, Girl Winter Film Tour screenings will provide a space to continue the celebration of women in snow sports.

Matchstick Productions – After the Snowfall

MSP’s latest film is a high-octane, heartfelt dive into the culture and chaos of modern skiing. Shot in breathtaking locations—from Norway’s Lyngen Alps to the heli-accessed steeps of British Columbia—it follows an elite crew of skiers pushing the limits of style and skill.

But this isn’t just a story about pros. It’s about the everyday ski bum, the weekend warrior, and the mountain-town lifer whose passion burns just as bright. Woven throughout the action are raw, irreverent reflections—from athletes and amateurs alike—on what skiing truly means: why they chase storms, risk injury, and build their lives around snow.

More than just a showcase of physical feats, After the Snowfall explores the internal peaks and valleys skiers navigate—growth, obsession, camaraderie, and the pure joy of being in the mountains.

MAGMA – TKO

What started as a creative experiment between pro skiers Alex Hall, Hunter Hess, and filmmaker Owen Dahlberg in 2019 has evolved into something bigger—and it’s far from over. While MAGMA 3 closed the book on their beloved trilogy, the crew is back this fall with a brand-new film: TKO. Known for blending street and backcountry skiing with raw, handheld camcorder aesthetics, their work feels both nostalgic and fresh. Even as Hall and Hess juggle demanding competition schedules, they keep the spirit of freeskiing alive with projects like this—low on glitz, high on passion, and fueled by pure love for the sport.
